A New Adventure

Just a few days ago, my group, ENLiGHT Paranormal went on an overnight investigation in Friend, Nebraska. Now this time, we had three locations. Sadly, the most active of the three was shut off to us when the lady with the keys went home. Which I understand as the active place was in the basement of her still-running bar. The other two buildings were vacant.

I don't think we got very much evidence, but we haven't been through our video and audio recordings.

I was very impressed by one place, though, the Friend Opera House.
No one has touched it in 50 years, except for a bit of wallpaper scraping.
Everything looks as if people up and left. (Though there is a bit of building material around). What I mean is that sets are still up, all old-fashioned and wonderful, the same old chairs are there, and dust is so thick that you can't even stir it with your foot.
It was really spectacular.

The stage was glorious. The whole main area was awesome. But the rest was nothing but a maze! I don't remember how many she said there were, but I'm guessing nearish twenty rooms that ran along the hallway. They started to the side of the stage and ran all the way round the back. Each were small, high ceilings, and were connected. I'll post a picture I took showing several rooms in a row, all of the doors open so you can see into the next. Crazy. (Also, kids must have gotten in, for there are gross fake-blood handprints everywhere. Any other time, they would have been amusing, but when you're on a ghost hunt, it's super freaky.)

But on the paranormal front, I wasn't too impressed. We will see if that changes when I look over evidence.

So- Life. It's a Little Messy.

I haven't posted anything in awhile.
My goals are still the same, but life is odd.

We are flooding majorly. I don't feel like posting pics, but hey- you're on the internet, just go look for it. Right now, Sapps is underwater so it goes without saying that I'm jobless.
But it could be worse.
I love having free time.

So now I spend my time watching Dr. Who and drawing. Awwwwesome!


Other than that, really nothing new.

I am an Unhappy Camper.

There is something just not right in the life of Phyll.
I'm not exactly sure what it is, which is half of the problem, but it's causing a bit of bitterness towards everyone.
Especially at work.
Even the nicest customers come up (though not often) and I freak out. All in my mind, of course.
I think that maybe I just need a new job.
That might do it.
I wish I could make a living with my crafts. That would be truly wonderful. I like the idea of not having to wait on people every second of every day. It's a miserable thing, and it's starting to make me insane.
I know, I know. I can hear everyone saying, "That's part of life." (with an added eye-roll).

But it doesn't have to be.

I would love to be starting school this fall.
But alas.
Soon though, and all will be well.
I'll get to meet new people, and I'll be going further with life. I can't wait.
I'll be studying Theology.And either Psychology or teaching. I'm not sure, I suppose I will talk to an advisor about which would be best.
Either way, Theology will be number one.

Happy Birthday?

Alright.
I'm 20.
So far, it's not really rockin.
Luckily, my good bday party was Saturday. lol

We packed up in the car, setting off for Lincoln to hang with Lisa.
We planned on a Harry Potter movie... and Italian food.
I was all dolled up.





Lisa surpised me with possibly the best cake ever.
See how hardcore it is?
It's like I'm saying "Look at that, bitches, my birthday is rockin'... you're jealous."





Then, we ditched the Italian and went to Famous Dave's.
All was well.
And then 'Something bad happened'.
I drenched my onion strings in the wrong bbq sauce. ...The HOTTEST bbq sauce...





Everytime Lisa takes pics of me, I get crazy red eyes. It's a long-standing joke that I'm demonic.


Other than that, the night rocked.
Especially compared to the fact that Sunday, my actual bday,
I was in the Hospital twice. Super sucky.
I feel tons better now, probably with no help from the doc.
I'm still pissed off though...

It's my BIRTHDAY. Tomorrow.

I'm pretty excited- it's the big 2.0.
I'm going to Lincoln tonight for a Harry Potter themed party, though I'm doubting anyone will really be there lol.
Either way, it doesn't matter because I'm dressed up super cute and that's all I care about.
I plan on taking my camera and will totally get pics.
This is going to be grand.

I haven't posted anything in awhile, I guess I got distracted.
Also, mum's keyboard is crazy. I will probably not fix all of the typos in this.

Really, I guess just an update on everything I'm doing now.

I work at Sapps, which I generally hate, but really... everyone hates their job, so that's nothing extraordinarily new. I like the customers. Mostly. I just hate the random coworker drama (which includes pretty much everyone with a timecard. But what are you gonna do?)

I'm a part of a Paranormal Investigatory group, which may be how you were directed here, you nosey little thing. Joking. It's made up of Lisa Kovanda, Beth Punko, my mother and I (and whichever guest we have, there always seems to be one.) We've not been to too many places yet, but our evidence and the adventures are grand. We have visited the Ax Murder House in Villisca, Iowa (in part and whole) several times, and once had an overnight. Yes, we stayed the whole night in the most haunted house in America. They went without me to Farrar School and got some amazing stuff. If only I hadn't had to work.

This Thursday, we will be having an overnight at the Squirrel Cage Jail in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I'm rather excited.

I should be starting college this fall (a little late, but whatever) and I will be attending Peru State for my Gen Eds. Hopefully then I will transfer to Benedictine College in Kansas. I will be studying Theology; it will be my major. I want to specialize in Demonology.

That's really all I can think of for now.

BIG dilemna.

I couldn't get a job for the longest time,
and now have the opportunity for three lol.
Well, the flowershop is just this week.
I commited to Sapps for overnight.

But I went to get Chinese...
and Brian offered me a nanny job.
Four Days a week. While he is working.
Free apartment, free food, (free chinese food lol),
free utilities, free other things (you know, the things that come with homes)
And another one hundred dollars a week.



I was like
HOLY SHIT.

And I don't know what to do.
I kind of just want to do it.
Or at least ask if we could give it a try for a couple weeks.

Suggestions?
